Quickstart
Learn how to get started with integrating Flutterwave into your application.
Step 1. Creating an account
First, you'll need to create your Flutterwave account. Which will give you access to a free test environment where you can simulate your preferred transactions.
In your test environment, you will be able to:
- Receive payments using a mock data card.
- Make transfers to dummy accounts (bank and mobile money)
- Use mock wallets and virtual cards.
Step 2. Configuring your Integration
There are a number of integration methods available in your arsenal; some of the popular options are:
- HTML Checkout
- In-app Checkout
- Javascript inline script
- Libraries and Plugins
- Direct API integrations
Tip
If you are new to the concept of APIs, here is an article to get you started on API basics.
You can now start testing integrations using our mock data. You will also find a glossary of error messages and best practices to help with your integration.
Step 3. Completing your KYC
In order to start making live trasactions, you will need to complete your KYC verification process, this will involve submitting a copy of your business documents and other requirements.
Step 4. Going Live
Once your account has been approved, you will be able to send and receive payments, among other transaction types. You will also be able to transfer your settings from the test environment to your live account (check out this quick demo on how to utilize your dashboard).
We also encourage you to check our go-live checklist to make sure your account is set up properly before you commence payments. Reach out to our support team if you need any assistance.
